| The Consortium Team | | | The Director of ITT is the person directly responsible for the quality assurance of all aspects of the course including recruitment, organisation, administration, structure, teaching programmes and placements and Associate Teacher assessment. She is supported in this role by the PGCE Training Manager.
The Senior Course Administrator is responsible for managing the funding and administration of the course. She is therefore the person you deal with concerning the administration of your application, interviews, pre and in course information and financial matters. She also provides a listening ear plus help and advice with day to day challenges.
The Administrator deals with application and other enquiries and assists in dealing with correspondence and day to day support.
The Professional Tutor is the Senior Member of staff in each consortium school who co-ordinates and ensures the consistency of the Associate Teacher experience and training within different departments in the school.
The Lead Mentor is the subject specialist who has responsibility for managing the training of all Associate Teachers in that subject across consortium schools. S/he is involved in selecting candidates for interview and participates in the interview. S/he manages and supports the work of the Subject Mentors, leads the Subject Studies sessions, produces the Subject Handbook and takes a leading role in the assessment of Associate Teacher progress.
The Subject Mentor is an experienced subject teacher who works alongside the Associate Teacher in the school. This person is the Associate Teacher's main point of contact in the school and has a key training role. S/he offers support and advice about teaching and learning, observes and provides feedback on lessons seen, assesses achievement and reviews and reports on progress.
