On Thursday 25th June, KMT held its annual awards evening at the Leigh Academy. It was an extremely enjoyable and successful evening with KMT NQTs being accompanied by their friends and family, mentors, professional tutors and head teachers. In addition to celebrating the achievements of our secondary trainees, it was also time to celebrate the outstanding outcomes of our first ever primary cohort. It was also KMT's 20th Anniversary and we had great pleasure in publically thanking Brenda Smith for her 20 years of service at KMT. In that time Brenda has supported over a thousand trainee teachers. The standing ovation was thoroughly deserved.
Overall, 100% of the trainees gained QTS with 33 of them also being awarded the ProfGCE from the University of Brighton
98% were graded as good or outstanding for their QTS, with 66% graded as outstanding overall.
At this stage, 93% have secured employment with an amazing 71% being employed by KMT consortium schools.
KMT would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the trainees through what has been an eventful but extremely successful year.
We would also like to take this opportunity to wish the class of 2015 all the best in their teaching careers. It has been a true pleasure working with you all
