The Thomas Aveling School is an 11-18 co-educational, Foundation comprehensive school situated in Rochester, one of the Medway towns. The curriculum on offer to the pupils is designed to provide a broad and balanced experience for all pupils within the guidelines of the National Curriculum. However, learning is relevant to the pupils' current and future needs, building upon their own experiences as well as the local environment where possible. Courses in the sixth form include two-year "A" Levels and AVCEs, whilst one-year courses have a more vocational bias.
