Anyone applying for an ITT course must pass the two skills tests (literacy and numeracy) before starting the course. You are strongly advised to use the practice tests online before booking and taking your skills test
Once you have submitted an application form for an ITT course via UCAS Teach, you will need to take evidence of that application with you to the test centre. To see the registration and booking systems the skills tests, please refer to the DfE website http://www.education.gov.uk.
Your first attempt at each test is free of charge. If you do not pass, you may retake each test twice for a small fee. The charge will be levied at the time of booking. If you fail the literacy or numeracy test three times you will then have to wait two years before you can take the test again. Any failed attempts should be communicated with KMT as we wil put in place one to one support for you prior to taking the test again.
