What influenced your decision to train with KMT?

I had a recommendation from someone within the Leigh Academy Trust.

How did you find your training experience with KMT?

The training has been paced well with a huge amount of support and encouragement.

What advantages did in-school training provide?

Access to a fountain of knowledge, support and continuous development that can be seen in real time.

What insights or benefits did you gain from your Mentor?

My mentor has been incredible.

They have offered regular check-ins, feedback and support in a very positive way. I also had the same support from my second placement mentor. I genuinely could not have done it without them.

What are your career plans after you complete your training?

I have procured a role within my A placement and plan to continue building the foundations of my teaching career before I consider any further plans.

Do you have any advice for those interested in training to be a teacher?

Do it! Be realistic with the expectations, but also enjoy the process.

Don’t believe all the negative press, our next generation of children are great!
