If so, Leigh Academy Halley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Social Sciences to join in September 2026. The successful candidate will provide support both inside and outside of the classroom to develop students to become independent thinkers and learners.
This is a truly fantastic opportunity for a passionate social sciences teacher to become part of a well-established, highly collaborative, and successful social sciences team that works hard to ensure that students enjoy a challenging, dynamic, and rewarding curriculum. All students study and enjoy Religious Studies as part of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme in Years 7-9. Sociology GCSE is popular in Years 10 and 11. Whilst at Key Stage 5, we have an excellent track-record in delivering strong outcomes in Psychology and Criminology at Sixth Form.
