Job Summary: Leigh Academy Hartley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher - EYFS.

Leigh Academy Hartley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher – EYFS to join our teaching team within our nursery, starting from September 2025. We are looking for a fantastic practitioner who is a creative and imaginative teacher with the ability to plan highly effective learning opportunities that meet the needs of all children in our care.

Our wonderful Roundash Nursery is an integral part of Leigh Academy Hartley. We provide a safe, friendly, and nurturing environment where learning comes alive through play and fun. Our highly experienced and passionate team fosters strong relationships with children and their families, ensuring every child feels secure to explore, learn, and grow in confidence and independence.

We have an incredibly positive and enthusiastic work ethic within our academy; all staff are supported and enjoy working within our friendly and collaborative environment. We are a school that thrives on teamwork, recognises the importance of high-quality support for the teachers and offers a creative and responsive package of CPD for all staff. Our successful candidate will be an experienced teacher who has a vision to drive the academy to achieve its full potential. Ideally, the teacher will have experience in all year groups.

We are looking for:

  • A passionate, enthusiastic Class Teacher eager to inspire our youngest learners and support our nursery in maintaining its high standards.
  • A proactive teacher who thrives in a collaborative team environment, ready to share ideas and contribute to our continuous improvement through self-assessment.
  • Someone who deeply cares for and nurtures all children, fostering high expectations for their behaviour and learning. You’ll have a strong working knowledge and understanding of early years teaching, play-based learning strategies, and positive behaviour management.
  • An excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Someone who maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of professional duties and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

This is a permanent opportunity which offers MPS based on experience.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust
As of 1st September 2024, our Trust comprises 33 geographically organised academies (17 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff.
