Teacher of MFL (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking to appoint an excellent Teacher of MFL to cover a maternity post in our French department. We are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking member of staff who can contribute to our hardworking department and to continue to secure outstanding outcomes for all of our pupils.

The French department has its own teaching rooms and all students are issued with a Chromebook enabling us to make use of useful online websites and tools to support learning.

There are three full-time dedicated teachers and a French Foreign Language Assistant who delivers speaking sessions to our examination classes. Studying a language is compulsory at GCSE with French being a popular choice. We have many students who choose to take two languages at GCSE.

This is a fixed term position, working full-time, offering MPS/UPS, commensurate with experience.

Note: Whilst the position is offered on a maternity cover basis initially of up to one year, every effort will be made to offer a substantive position thereafter, either at Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School or within the wider family of academies across Leigh Academies Trust.
