We are seeking to appoint either an already outstanding teacher or someone with the potential to become an outstanding teacher who can deliver high quality learning opportunities for our students in English. The English department is highly successful and has a track record of delivering excellent outcomes for our pupils.

Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School is a selective boys grammar school with a coeducational sixth form. It is a seven form of entry school with over 1500 pupils. The school has exceptional facilities and a distinctive ethos of providing outstanding academic teaching alongside a range of exceptional opportunities for all pupils.

It was founded in 1701 in order to provide an education to young men who would go on to work at the famous Chatham Dockyard.
