Scale: Teachers Main Pay Scales MPS1-MPS6
Job Summary: KS2 class teacher wanted for September (year group is flexible)

The headteacher and senior leadership team are looking to appoint a full-time KS2 class teacher from September 2026.  The year group is negotiable, depending on the successful candidate’s experiences.   We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers seeking middle leader opportunities.   Holland Junior School is a fantastic school to start your teaching career, or to further develop it and move into middle leadership roles.

We welcome applications from ECTs, as well as from experienced teachers. For ECTS, we offer strong support – an experienced mentor whom you will meet weekly during dedicated release time; an excellent training programme using materials from the ECF; regular observations of experienced colleagues, including visits to other schools.  For experienced teachers, we offer subject specific training, access to NPQs and professional coaching to support wellbeing and workload.

Visits to the school  can be arranged via the school office on 01883 715801.

Please note that, although this is a role listed to start in the new academic year, our INSET days are on 27th and 28th August and the successful candidate will be required to attend.

Holland Junior School is a small junior school, graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted.  We are an inclusive school with fantastic children, a friendly staff team, well-resourced classrooms, an amazing library space, and the best Forest School in the county!  Come and see it in action for yourself.  We have dedicated teachers, including specialist teachers teaching PE and Music. Everyone knows every child, every family. We have mixed age groups, but 3 classes within each phase – three Year 3/4 classes, and three Year 5/6 classes.  This allows for 3 teachers to work together to plan and share resources, significantly reducing workload for our staff which can be an issue in smaller rural schools. We share planning and resources with other rural schools within the Trust which again, reduces workload for teachers and subject leaders.
